Kings Equipment is seeking an experienced Parts Counter Salesperson to join our growing team in Jackson, Michigan. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers, service technicians, and sales personnel seeking parts and accessories for Kubota equipment, compact tractors, construction equipment, mowers, utility vehicles, and related products. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, mechanically inclined, highly organized, and capable of accurately identifying, sourcing, and selling parts in a fast-paced dealership environment. • Assist walk-in, phone, text, and email customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
• Accurately identify parts using manufacturer catalogs, diagrams, serial numbers, and equipment information.
• Build strong relationships with commercial, agricultural, construction, and residential customers.
• Recommend related products, maintenance items, and accessories when appropriate.
• Prepare quotes, invoices, and parts orders accurately and efficiently.
• Follow up on customer requests, backorders, and special-order parts.
• Deliver a first-class customer experience.
• Supply technicians with required parts to maintain shop efficiency.
• Coordinate with service writers and service technicians to ensure parts availability for work orders.
• Assist with warranty parts processing and return procedures.
• Communicate parts delays and backorder status proactively.
• Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed to work orders.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and bin locations.
• Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory audits.
• Monitor stocking levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Keep the parts warehouse, showroom, and counter areas clean and organized.
• Assist in managing obsolete inventory and returns.
• Process customer payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Utilize dealership business systems and manufacturer parts lookup software.
• Assist with merchandising displays and showroom presentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Required:
• Minimum 3 years of parts sales experience in agricultural equipment, construction equipment, automotive, heavy truck, outdoor power equipment, or related industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret equipment diagrams and parts catalogs.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
• Kubota dealership experience.
• Heavy equipment or agricultural equipment parts experience.
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counting.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience using electronic parts catalogs and inventory systems.
• Takes ownership of customer issues and follows through.
• Understands that urgency drives customer satisfaction.
• Works well with technicians, salespeople, and fellow parts staff.
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
